Mound Update - 10th October

Mound Update - 10th October

As advised last week, we are pleased to confirm that the insurer AON accepted the security measures that are currently in place (security guard and double fencing) and that we now have our public liability cover back in place. The rest of the news isn't so great we're afraid. An assessment of the options that could be taken up to fix the problem has given us three choices. It must be understood because... Read More »

Can you please pass this message on to all community groups in your parish and encourage them to respond to the survey which can... Read More »

Update on Mound 18th Sept 2016

Since our last update, the report we told you about has been received from the contractor WRS including a risk assessment by UXO specialist MACC (with reference to the explosive items that have been found on the site). This Report states that with the current measures, that is the fencing, signage and security guard, the site is safe. This, of course, assumes that the public are not ignoring these... Read More »

Update on Mound - 30/07/2016

Due to a lack of response from the MoD in respect of how the work on the Mound is to proceed, it has been necessary to extend the road closure for up to another two weeks. This is for two reasons:

  • to provide further time to receive an update from MoD that gives direction in respect of the works
  • to enable some re-alignment in the compound area such that if no suitable response received from the MoD, the... Read More »

Graffiti on Youth Shelter - anyone know the culprits?

Graffiti on Youth Shelter - anyone know the culprits?

We would rather like to know who the culprits are for this graffiti to the Youth Shelter over the weekend of 8/9/10th July?

If anyone has a name or names, please let Sue Halkett know.

We would like to talk to them and/or the Parents with a view to getting it cleaned off.

I'm sure that whoever it is who has done this graffiti will not be very appreciative of a visit from the Police which may be the next... Read More »
