Due to major waste removal works on a field adjacent to Bridge Street in Weedon Bec it will be necessary to close the road to ensure the safety of the public. Waste Recovery Solutions Limited will be closing the road from the 4th to 29th July 2016 whilst the works are completed.

LIFE SAVER FOR WEEDON BEC
In line with many of the surrounding villages Weedon now has its own public access defibrillator. Due to the initiative of the Trustees of the Village Hall their successful application to the British Heart Foundation has resulted in Weedon village receiving a free issue AED unit and external storage cabinet.

We have recently carried out an Ageing Well Survey to help us shape the development of the draft Ageing Well in Daventry District 2016 – 2020 strategy and our project work with older people.
We are following up this survey with a series of focus groups in 9 pilot parishes. If you are aged over 50 and are interested in this area of work you are more than welcome to attend one of the workshops
