A5 KILSBY TO WEEDON Multi-Disciplinary Project
Update Bulletin 19 – 19.12.2019
In this final working week of 2019, we have been carrying out drainage and minor surfacing works in Phase 7, from B5385 Watford to A361 at Kilsby roundabout.
Please note that, during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, our site compound will be closed and no roadworks carried out from 6am Friday 20th December 2019 until 8pm on Monday 6th January 2020.
I'd like to take this opportunity, on behalf of everybody in the team working on this scheme i.e. Highways England East Midlands Asset Delivery, Kier Plc, Forkers Ltd., H. W. Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd., Tarmac Aggregates Ltd., Wilson & Scott Highways Ltd., Ground Control Ltd., J. McCann and Co. Ltd., NMCM Ltd. and Volker Laser Ltd., to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
On returning to work on Monday 6th January 2019, we will be working between 8pm and 6am each weeknight to complete all drainage works in Phase 7.
We are planning to complete these drainage works by 6am on Saturday 11th January 2020.
Please note that all our planned road works may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Local businesses will be open as usual during these essential works so, please use your local shops, farm shops, markets, shopping villages, garden centres, bars and restaurants and ask others to do the same. Please note that access to all of these is available from the designated diversion routes. I'm sure that your local business community would appreciate it.
I apologise for any disruption our works may cause. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journey.
Unfortunately, there have been incidences of unauthorised vehicles being driven into our working areas. These irresponsible drivers put themselves and our workforce at risk of serious injury or death. As a result of these incursions we have employed a Safety Camera vehicle which will record any such incidences and report the offender to the Police.
