Poppy Appeal 2016
The recent 2016 Poppy Appeal in Weedon raised £1,347.79.
On behalf of the Royal British Legion I would like to thank the people of Weedon for their support, and generosity, as well as those businesses and organisations that sold poppies.

· The A5 will be closed tonight between Weedon Bec & Skew Bridge, the rail bridge that crosses Western Main Line on the A5

The Parish Council has now received a formal communication from the Department of Infrastructure (DIO) which is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). Whilst the MOD say they have no legal obligation with regard to resolving the issues on the Mound on Jubilee Field, they have decided to offer financial help to resolve the current situation. Mound Update 4th November
This is an update without too much progress I'm afraid, but we wanted to ensure that residents are up to date on the Mound issue.

What a week for Weedon Bec and the Mound story.
On Tuesday we received fantastic coverage on BBC Look East including the lead story on the main early evening programme with additional coverage on the lunch time and late evening bulletins.

BBC Look East were filming this morning at Jubilee Field. This is with regard to our problems with the Mound and we should be on their programme at 6.30 pm, this evening.
