From 1st October 2018, changes to regulations for licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) will mean that all HMOs occupied by 5 or more people forming two or more households (where facilities are shared) will require a mandatory HMO licence.
Landlords with properties meeting the criteria must ensure they have applied for a licence by 1 October this year in order to avoid enforcement action.... Read More »

The results of the Best Village Competition 2018 are in and Weedon Bec picked up 2 awards.
Weedon Bec was declared the Best Medium Sized Village in the County and then went on to be crowned second Best Village overall.

The OVO Energy Women's Tour 2018 returns to Daventry District next week, with the Northamptonshire stage of the international cycling race taking place from Rushden to Daventry on Thursday, 14 June.

'I am writing to ask if you could share the following information with your residents to help protect our countryside.
In addition to our own residents, many dog walkers from adjacent parishes visit Stowe Nine Churches, often walking across the fields between the two settlements. We have found that dog fouling has increased recently in the fields, on verges as well as on footpaths in the village itself.... Read More »

As you may be aware Daventry District Council (DDC) is running a number of community projects this year to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
