Weedon Women is a group of friendly ladies who meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm in the Chapel Schoolroom, New Street, behind the United Reformed Church. New members are always made very welcome and if you are new to the village, or looking for a group to join, it would be great to see you. The talks are open to everyone – men and women. You can also come along as a guest.

Weedon Art Buddies is a small, local group of amateur artists who meet each Wednesday afternoon at the Scout Hut to paint together. Established in 2012, the Group held its first and very successful Art Exhibition in 2019 and will hold its next one 23rd/24th April 2022, to showcase the talents of the many artists.

Along with original paintings there will be art prints, cards and crafts on sale. There will also be a raffle. Hopefully, some of the artists will be demonstrating their painting skills on the day, so you can see how the paintings develop.

We hope that you will come and take this opportunity to see the varieties of art and craft produced, whilst enjoying some homemade refreshments. Members of the group will be on hand to chat to you about their work.

Entrance is free but there will be a nominal charge for tea and cake.

We will be delighted to see you between 10.30-1630 hrs on Saturday 23^rd and

Sunday 24^th April 2022 at the Weedon Village Hall.

If you are new to the village and looking for an informal setting to meet people, we are a group of ladies who get together for a cup of tea, cake (provided by rota of the members, homemade or bought) and a chat. We charge £2 for every meeting you attend. From time to time we go out for a meal, to the theatre, or help with various events in the village. At the moment some of us are knitting Commonwealth flowers for a display outside the church, to help commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

We have changed the day we meet, which is now the 4th Tuesday in the month in the Chapter House at the Church. Timing: 2pm to 4pm,

These are the meetings at which Churchwardens and the Parochial Church Council (not the same as the Parish Council) and other roles in the church, are elected. Anyone in the parish is entitled to vote for churchwardens; those on the Church Electoral Roll are entitled to vote for other roles. An Annual Report is given about the fabric, the finances and activities of 2018. All are welcome.
